Bambu make handcrafted products for the home. Their ideas are inspired by the materials they work with and the products are made in a way that supports sustainable business practices.

Bambu pride themselves on the design and quality of their products. They are safe, durable and will last for years and can withstand the toughest use of all: real life. At the heart of their design process is an underlying philosophy to preserve the simplicity of the raw material while shaping it in a way that makes it classically modern.

Their Ethics

Miracle plant bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, and is an endlessly renewable resource, growing new shoots from its root system after being harvested. It thrives naturally without using any pesticides or fertilizers, takes in greenhouse gasses and produces 35% more oxygen than the equivalent trees.

The founders of bambu come from Portland in Oregon, US - a place that prides itself on local, home grown, eco-friendly values. They relocated to China and took these values with them. Ten years later, their small production and development team continues to design modern products that they proudly share with the rest of the world.

They continually promote fair labour practices and safe working conditions, and 'green' their supply chain. These efforts have been recognised by leading associations and trade groups.

bambu has earned the USDA (US Dept. of Agriculture) organic seal for its baby products.

Certified as sustainable products by the Institute of Marketecology

bambu is among the few companies to have earned the Gold Seal of Approval by Green America, a non-profit organisation that recognises companies that work towards an environmentally sustainable society

bambu is a participating member of the Asia-Pacific LOHAS international organisation of qualified businesses focused on health and sustainability.
